Local excitement around the new-look 2022 Miami Dolphins is palpable.

The Dolphins expect their season-ticket memberships to be sold out as early as next week. Once that happens, a wait list would be created for the 2023 season, which has never occurred in team history.

The team opened its first training camp under first-year head coach Mike McDaniel on Wednesday, with new additions such as All-Pros Tyreek Hill and Terron Armstead. The Dolphins will hold their first practice open to fans at the Baptist Health Training Complex on Saturday.

With the hiring of McDaniel, an upgraded offense and continuity on defense, the Dolphins are hoping to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season. Their 21 consecutive years without a postseason win is the second-longest active drought in the NFL, only behind the Detroit Lions.

In addition to home divisional games against the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and New York Jets, the Dolphins will host the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and Green Bay Packers in the regular season.
