Dolphins sign former Browns linebacker, cut two defensive players
As the Dolphins wrap up their offseason workout program this week, they continue to tweak their roster before the start of training camp in late July.
The Dolphins signed former Cleveland Browns linebacker Porter Gustin, the team announced Wednesday, while waiving cornerback Javaris Davis and releasing defensive end Daeshon Hall.
Gustin, 6-5 and 260 pounds, was originally signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He’s spent the last three seasons in Cleveland, appearing in 26 games with four starts. He’s recorded 52 combined tackles and one sack. Gustin has also played 226 snaps on special teams.
Davis played in one game for the Dolphins last season after being awarded off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs in August 2020. The Dolphins signed Hall in February.
The Dolphins have one spot remaining on their 90-man roster.
