Breaking down the members of the Dolphins’ 2022 draft class

The Dolphins’ 2022 draft was much quieter than in previous years. They had no picks in the first two rounds and just three on Day 3. But they came away with a potential starter at a position of need and depth at other spots.

Here is what you need to know about the Dolphins’ four-player class.

Channing Tindall

Position: Inside linebacker

School: Georgia

Height/weight: 6-1, 230 pounds

Highlights: The Dolphins used their first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft on Tindall, selecting him with the No. 102 overall pick in the third round. Tindall was a four-year player at Athens and broke out in his senior year. He recorded 67 tackles, along with 7.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks as the Bulldogs won the college football national championship.

Erik Ezukanma

Position: Wide receiver

School: Texas Tech

Height/weight: 6-1, 209 pounds

Highlights: The Dolphins selected Ezukanma (E-zoo-comma) with the No. 125 overall pick in the fourth round. Ezukanma caught 48 passes for 705 yards and four touchdowns in 2021, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors. He led Texas Tech in receiving yards in three consecutive seasons.

Cameron Goode

Position: Outside linebacker

School: California

Height/weight: 6-2, 232 pounds

Highlights: The Dolphins selected Goode with the No. 224 overall pick in the seventh round. Goode recorded 45 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks in the 2021 season, earning second-team All-Pac 12 honors. Goode’s 20.5 sacks are 24th most in the conference since the Pacific-10 became the Pac-12 in 2005.

Skylar Thompson

Position: Quarterback

School: Kansas State

Height/weight: 6-1, 217 pounds

Highlights: The Dolphins selected Thompson with the No. 247 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, using their final pick on a developmental passer. A five-year player, Thompson made 40 starts, completing 62.4 percent of his passes for 7,134 yards, 42 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He also ran 354 times for 1,087 yards and 26 touchdowns.
