Former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil announced via Twitter he’s releasing a non-fungible token (NFT) related to his gas mask video that saw him slide down the 2016 NFL Draft board.

“I’m officially moving on and putting this moment in the past,” Tunsil wrote on the social media site. I’m minting a 1 of 1 NFT of the infamous gas mask video to be listed. A portion of the proceeds will benefit @lastprisonerprj which supports those incarcerated for cannabis offenses.”

The video prior to the 2016 NFL Draft showed Tunsil smoking marijuana out of a gas mask that was posted to his Twitter account, ESPN reported.

Tunsil said his account was hacked when talking to Deion Sanders, who was an NFL Network analyst, at the time, ESPN reported.

Tunsil was projected as the top offensive tackle in that year’s NFL Draft, but saw his stock drop after the incident that allowed the Dolphins to draft him with the 13th overall pick.

In August 2019, the Dolphins traded Tunsil to the Houston Texans in exchange for draft picks. In 2020, Tunsil signed a three-year contract extension with the Texans for $66 million, with $50 million guaranteed.
