One of the most tumultuous weeks in Dolphins history ended with a glimmer of hope. The team announced Sunday evening that it is hiring Mike McDaniel as its next head coach.
McDaniel comes to Miami with 15 years of experience in the NFL, most recently serving as San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator, where he made his name devising the team’s explosive running game. The 38-year-old is expected to bring his creatively and outside-the-box thinking and rejuvenate an offense that was one of the league’s worst in 2021.
