The Dolphins’ offseason was already set to be a vital one, with more than $70 million expected in cap space and speculation over whether the team would trade for embattled Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. That all took a backseat with Monday’s shocking news that Brian Flores was fired after three seasons as head coach.

Owner Stephen Ross cited Flores not maximizing the talent of the roster, along with issues with collaboration and communication that he sees unfit for a winning organization. The Miami Herald has also reported in more detail on factors that led to the dismissal of Flores.

In this week’s Dolphins In Depth podcast, Daniel Oyefusi and Barry Jackson discuss the firing of Flores and who should become Miami’s next head coach.
