Podcast: What does Dolphins win over Texans mean? And how to defend Lamar Jackson
The Dolphins won’t have much time to celebrate their 17-9 win over the Houston Texans, with just three days to prepare for the 6-2 Baltimore Ravens. They also know the will have to play a lot better and can’t turn the ball over five times if they expect to beat Baltimore, who is a touchdown favorite.
The Dolphins’ starting quarterback for the Thursday night prime-time game is still in question; Tua Tagovailoa, who didn’t play in the win over Houston because of a broken middle finger on his throwing hand, has been limited throughout the short week and coach Brian Flores said Tagovailoa will likely be a game-time decision. If Tagovailoa cannot play, Jacoby Brissett make his second straight start and fifth overall this season. Either way, the Dolphins will have their hands full, particularly with quarterback Lamar Jackson, the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player and a South Florida native.
In this week’s Dolphins In Depth podcast, Daniel Oyefusi is joined by Hal Habib, who covers the Dolphins for the Palm Beach Post, and Jonas Shaffer, who covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun, to preview Thursday’s game and discuss how Miami can contain Jackson.
