Podcast: Breaking down Tua’s return, previewing game vs. Jaguars in London

The Dolphins could get a big boost ahead of their Week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday. The team designated quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to return to practice and he inches closer to the football field after missing three games on injured reserve because of fractured ribs.

Tagovailoa’s potential return couldn’t come at a better time. The Dolphins are 1-4, coming off a fourth consecutive defeat last Sunday to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and would drop even further in the AFC East standings with a loss to the winless Jaguars.

The Dolphins’ issues stretch further than the quarterback position, however. The defense just gave up its most yardage since the first game of the Brian Flores era, leaving the head coach to say that he was “concerned” about a defense that is “out of sync.”

In this week’s Dolphins In Depth podcast, Daniel Oyefusi is joined by Safid Deen, NFL Insider for USA TODAY Sports+ and former Dolphins reporter for the South Florida Sun Sentinel, to discuss what Tagovailoa’s return means for the team, whether the season he can be salvaged and preview the team’s game against the Jaguars.
