Miami Dolphins get another first-round pick under contract
Nine down, two to go.
The Dolphins got their ninth draft pick under contract Thursday by signing tackle Austin Jackson (the 18th pick in the draft) to a four-year deal that’s believed to be worth $13.6 million.
He’s the second of three Dolphins first-round picks to sign, joining Tua Tagovailoa.
That leaves just cornerback Noah Igbinoghene (30th) and offensive lineman Robert Hunt (39th) as the Dolphins’ lone remaining unsigned draft picks.
They have plenty of time to get those last two under contract. Training camp is not for another seven weeks.
Jackson, out of USC, has a good chance to be the Dolphins’ starting left tackle this fall.
The 6-5, 322 pounder was first-team All-Pac 12 in 2019, He appeared in 39 games in college with 25 starts.
