‘I can’t wait to witness this comeback.’ Deion Sanders wants Antonio Brown back in the NFL

At least one Hall of Famer is all in on Antonio Brown’s return.

Deion Sanders recently worked out with the former All-Pro wide receiver, even posting a picture on Instagram detailing his excitement.

“My son came to town to WORK!” Sanders wrote in Sunday’s post. “On his game, on his life, on his thoughts, on his tomorrow and on Antonio Brown... . I can’t wait to witness this comeback story called A, B & See. I know what I know and I pray you all get to see what I know to be true about Antonio Brown.”

But here’s the thing about this workout: Brown’s issues were never on the field. If Sanders is really serious about the 31-year-old receiver’s return, he would be in New York trying to convince NFL commissioner Roger Goodell or, better yet, the person responsible for investigating Brown’s three potential personal conduct violations.

The status of Brown’s first incident — sexual assault and rape allegations stemming from a civil lawsuit — has not changed since September. Sports Illustrated then reported more allegations of sexual misconduct later that month. In late January, Hollywood police arrested and charged Brown after an altercation with a moving truck driver.

With each of those investigations still in limbo, Brown’s comeback won’t happen until there’s a resolution and he’s disciplined. On top of that, it remains a mystery whether any teams even have interest in the Miami native.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who now have Super Bowl aspirations thanks to Brown’s friend Tom Brady, don’t want to be in the next chapter of the AB saga. The Baltimore Ravens, however, could be potential suitors if and when Brown’s investigation comes to a close.

Again, Brown even being employed seems far-fetched until the NFL holds him accountable for his past. Being that the NFL had almost nine months to reach a resolution, it’s safe to say they’re keen on taking their time. Don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
