Miami Dolphins

Chad Johnson and Roger Stone were neighbors. He tweeted about Stone’s legal troubles.

Chad Johnson has had an amazing second act.

Since retiring in 2012, the former NFL star has made a career of whooping gamers in FIFA and showing nonbelievers he’s still got it. But among Johnson’s best moments was his live reaction to his neighbor’s legal troubles, which Axios so wisely caught.

That’s right. The very same man who once legally changed his last name to Ochocinco lived next door to Roger Stone. Imagine what those cookouts were like.

From the initial surprise of the home being raided to the sadness about the conviction, Johnson clearly had love for Stone.

What’s unclear, however, is whether he thought his neighbor deserved the 40-month sentence. Frankly, that’s something the public needs to know.

With Johnson’s penchant for trash-talking, there’s no doubt he’d make a great political commentator. CNN or MSNBC, do what you got to do.
