Dolphins in Depth podcast: The ‘Tannehill and Tua’ Edition

This is a strange, wonderful, jarring time to be a Dolphins fan.

They’ve never been closer to landing Tua Tagovailoa, whose rehab has gone so well, he has scheduled a pre-draft throwing session for interested teams.

But they’ve also never seen Ryan Tannehill one win away from the Super Bowl. Sadly, it’s with the Titans, the team to whom the Dolphins traded him back in the spring.

If Tannehill somehow beats the Chiefs in Kansas City Sunday, he’ll start Super Bowl LIV — which, you might have heard, will be held at Hard Rock Stadium.

Now, there’s been a lot of revisionist history in the past weeks about the Dolphins’ decision to move on from Tannehill. But there’s no debating this: It would be embarrassing for the Dolphins to have Tannehill raise the Lombardi in the stadium Steve Ross spent more than a half-billion dollars renovating.

Of course, if Tua is healthy and back to his high-level self, the Dolphins could make that all go away.

Again, what a time to be a Dolphins fan.

We discuss it all in our latest Dolphins in Depth podcast.
