The Dolphins dealt a bad beat to a gambler with win over Patriots. Cost almost $75,000

The Miami Dolphins 27-24 upset victory against the Patriots did more than just shake up New England’s playoff seeding in the AFC.

It also cost one better some cash.

Some serious coin.

According to The Action Network, one bettor lost nearly $75,000, placing his bet at William Hill, a London-based sportsbook with a Las Vegas location, for the Pats to beat the Dolphins straight up.

The bettor stood to win more than $4,600. Instead, the bettor squandered $74,430, according to The Action Network.

The Dolphins win coupled with the Chiefs victory over the Chargers meant the Patriots dropped to the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoffs.

Consequently, they play at home in the wild card round against the Titans, instead of a first-round bye.
