Miami Dolphins

Podcast: The ‘Is It Possible The Dolphins Actually Are Cursed?’ Edition

If the Dolphins go through all of this losing and pain and end up with an offensive lineman, it would be gutting for Dolphins fans.

But it would also not be surprising.

They’re used to preparing for the worst.

If history is any guide, the Dolphins will not only win Sunday against the Bengals, but upset the Patriots in Week 17 and end up with the ninth draft pick.

Which will make this entire exercise futile.

What’s the point of blowing up your roster if there’s no reward in the draft? Especially when the players you’ve shipped out — Minkah Fitzpatrick, Laremy Tunsil, Ryan Tannehill and Robert Quinn have been good to great elsewhere.

All of this would be worth it had Tua Tagovailoa not gotten hurt. But he did, leaving the Dolphins with an unenviable decision to make.

There’s no great explanation for why most every major decision this team has made in the past two decades has backfired. So we consider the supernatural in our latest Dolphins in Depth podcast.
