Miami Dolphins

No excuses for the Dolphins’ offense against the Patriots. Here’s why.

The following players are inactive for Sunday’s game between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.

DOLPHINS: QB David Fales; CB Xavien Howard; C Jake Brendel; G Isaac Asiata; T Zach Sterup; DE Jonathan Woodard; WR Isaiah Ford.

PATRIOTS: DB Duke Dawson Jr.; CB Keion Crossen; DL Keionta Davis; OL James Ferentz; DL Danny Shelton; TE Dwayne Allen; DE Derek Rivers.

WHAT IT MEANS: Ryan Tannehill will have his full complement of weapons against New England, as Danny Amendola is back from a knee injury that kept him out of the Bills game. In fact, there were no lineup changes on offense at all, even with Jake Brendel out. Ted Larsen will start at left guard, staying true to the depth chart. Now the bad news: No Xavien Howard, whom NFL Network reported underwent arthroscopic knee surgery this week to fix a meniscus. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Bobby McCain will the boundary corners.
