Is it time for Ryan Tannehill to take the hint?

In the past week, two major pieces of information have been revealed about his future in Miami, and neither is good.

The first: Adam Gase’s decision to run — twice — on third-and-long against the Colts in a close game. Instead of letting his franchise quarterback throw the ball, Gase went safe, and lost because of it.

Then there was Wednesday’s Tannehill news conference, in which he was asked if he has been given any assurances he will be the Dolphins’ quarterback in 2019.

Tannehill’s response?

“Haven’t discussed it. And it doesn’t matter at this point. It’s a matter of going out for this team, winning games and making the playoffs.”

So here we go again. Yet another chapter of the Dolphins’ seemingly endless soap opera.

We try to make sense of it all — and take a broader look at what’s gone wrong in 2018 — in our latest Dolphins in Depth podcast.
