Parker’s hamstring ‘feels good,’ but he’s unsure about playing Sunday
DeVante Parker is nearing his return. Whether he makes his 2016 debut Sunday against the Patriots remains to be seen, however.
Parker, speaking before practice Wednesday of which he was a part, said he will participate in team and individual drills this week, and that his mending hamstring “feels good right now. Hopefully it stays that way.”
“I'm not sure yet,” Parker said about playing Sunday. “We'll just have to see through the rest of the week at practice how it goes.”
Parker, who missed most of training camp with an unrelated hamstring injury, ran Tuesday and his leg responded well.
“I've been out too long,” Parker said. “Just ready to get back on the field. ... It will be hard for us to double team one of us if we're all out there at the same time. Me coming in would be a valuable option for everyone.”
Having to watch the Dolphins’ Week 1 loss to the Seahawks was “very tough,” Parker added.
Four Dolphins did not practice Wednesday: center Mike Pouncey (hip), Mario Williams (concussion), Jordan Phillips (ankle) and linebacker Jelani Jenkins (dealt with a knee last week).
