Philadelphia Eagles linebacker arrested at MIA Sunday
Maybe Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham needs to consider somewhere other than Miami-Dade County for his down time.
Sunday, as the Eagles ended their week off, Bradham was transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after a Miami International Airport X-ray machine revealed a loaded gun in his backpack. Though the Crawfordville, Fla., native owns a concealed weapons license, transporting the gun through security is a second-degree misdemeanor.
Usually, that means Bradham could’ve signed a “promise to appear” in court and be on his way. The arrest report says the police believed Bradham when he told them he just forgot the gun was there. Problem is, Bradham is already out on bond from his arrest in Miami-Dade County on an aggravated battery charge July 25, just before training camp started. That case is winding its way through the court.
So, Bradham wasn’t allowed to sign a “promise to appear.” Instead, he was transported to TGK. He was released after posting a $500 bond Sunday.
