Owner Micky Arison penned an open letter to Heat fans Thursday night acknowledging the franchise's rough summer in free agency and announcing the organization's plan to hang Dwyane Wade's jersey from the rafters of AmericanAirlines Arena "someday."

Arison promised the Heat's culture will not change or stop trying to be a championship organization. "I'm excited about this team and I'm confident you will enjoy watching us play this season," Arison wrote. "I look forward to seeing you on Opening Night at AmericanAirlines Arena."
