Dwyane Wade among Sports Illustrated’s 50 most fashionable athletes
No big surprise.
Dwyane Wade made the list.
For the first time, Sports Illustrated magazine counted down the 50 most fashionable athletes. In the inaugural issue, the Miami Heat star — who holds an annual charity fashion show for his foundation A Night on the Runwade — came in at No. 7 in the Top 10 “Style MVPs” category.
Another local athlete named was Serena Williams (No. 4). Because we all know she knows how to put an ouftit together, as evidenced by all her closet selfies at her Palm Beach County home.
Be that as it may: Heat defector LeBron James topped them both at No. 3.

Football stud Victor Cruz cruised into the top spot in case you wondering.
The article called out these particular people because they are “on the leading edge of the fashion conversation.”
Evaluation came down to “not only what they wear, but also how they wear it, where they wear it and why they wear it; designer collaborations, attendance at fashion shows, social-media presence, investment in fashion, endorsements and other partnerships.”

It also includes Wade’s well dressed teammates Amar’e Stoudemire, a sometime artist, and Chris Bosh — who also has his own tie line and has been known to dress up on occasion, despite the fact that he has been laid up with health problems and just welcomed twins. So congrats!
