Chris Bosh’s first game back with the Heat is set.

Progressing smoothly through his transition back to the court, Bosh is on schedule to participate in the Heat’s training camp in October. That training includes an eight-game preseason schedule, which begins against the Charlotte Hornets on Oct. 4 at AmericanAirlines Arena. The NBA released the preseason schedule on Thursday.

The Heat’s preseason schedule features three home games sprinkled throughout the first three weeks of October. The second home game of the preseason is scheduled for Oct. 12 against the San Antonio Spurs, which signed power forward LaMarcus Aldridge during free agency. The final Heat’s final preseason game in Miami is Oct. 21 against the Washington Wizards.

The preseason road schedule includes a trip to Louisville, where the Heat will host the Orlando Magic. The Heat also has away games in Orlando, Houston, Atlanta and New Orleans.
