What the undrafted Heat players are earning and their contract status
The average NBA salary this season is $9.7 million. Of the seven undrafted players on the Miami Heat, six earn only a small fraction of that.
What each of the seven is earning and his contract status:
PLAYER, 2022-23 SALARY, CONTRACT STATUS
Duncan Robinson: $16.9 million; Has three years remaining on a contract that will pay him $18.1 million, $19.4 million and $19.9 million over the next three seasons. The last year of the contract is a player option, and only half of his salary that season is guaranteed.
Caleb Martin: $6.5 million; Has two years remaining on a contract that will pay him $6.8 million and $7.1 million the next two seasons. But if Martin plays well next season, he likely would opt out of his 2023-24 salary ($7.1 million) with the hope of snagging a larger contract in free agency next summer.
Udonis Haslem: $2.9 million; Haslem is retiring at the conclusion of this season, his 20th in the league.
Max Strus; $1.8 million; He will be a free agent this summer and could command an annual salary in the $10 million range. The Heat faces no restrictions in re-signing him.
Gabe Vincent: $1.8 million; He will be a free agent this summer and could command an annual salary in the $10 million range. The Heat faces no restrictions in re-signing him.
Haywood Highsmith; $1.7 million; The Heat can keep him next season by exercising his $1.9 million team option, as expected.
Omer Yurtseven; $1.7 million; He will be a restricted free agent, and the Heat can retain the right to match any outside offer for him if it extends him a $2.2 million qualifying offer by June 30.
