Podcast: Heat-Knicks takeaways from Games 1 and 2 and looking ahead at rest of series

The Miami Heat is three wins away from doing something only one other NBA team has done before.

The Heat is looking to become just the second No. 8 seed to make it to the conference finals since the current 16-team NBA playoff format was instituted for the 1983-84 season.

On a new episode of the Miami Herald’s Heat Check podcast, Anthony Chiang and David Wilson went through their takeaways from the first two games of the Heat’s second-round playoff series against the New York Knicks. The series is tied 1-1, with Game 3 on Saturday in Miami.

Also, what’s the latest on Jimmy Butler’s ankle injury? Who is the Heat’s most important role player? Why is three-point shooting especially important in the Heat-Knicks series?

And, of course, Chiang and Wilson celebrated the Florida Panthers’ improbable playoff run at the end of the episode.
