Miami Heat

Podcast: Heat trending in positive direction ahead of trade deadline. And more Bam praise

The Miami Heat and Bam Adebayo are both trending in a positive direction.

The Heat has won 15 of its last 22 games following a 12-15 start to the season to move five games above .500 for the first time this season at 27-22 and Adebayo is playing like an All-Star.

On a new episode of the Miami Herald’s Heat Check podcast, Anthony Chiang and David Wilson broke down where things stand with the Heat and again showered Adebayo with praise for his high-level play on both ends of the court.

Is a top-four playoff seed a realistic goal for the Heat or is it still just about avoiding the play-in tournament? Has the Heat really figured things out during this 15-7 stretch or is it just stacking wins against inferior and short-handed opponents? Does the Heat’s recent success make it less likely that the front office will make changes before the Feb. 9 trade deadline?

Also, how close is Adebayo to becoming a top-10 two-way player in the NBA?

All of that and more in this week’s episode.

As always, thanks for listening and please continue to rate, review and subscribe on Apple, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts. A new episode of the Heat Check podcast will be released each week during the NBA season.
