Podcast: Latest on where Miami Heat roster stands amid free agency, Kevin Durant whirlwind

Yes, Kevin Durant is still seemingly available on the trade market. But the Miami Heat’s roster for next season is coming into focus.

Unless a trade is made before the start of the season, the Heat’s roster next season will look very similar to last season’s.

So far in free agency, the Heat has agreed to terms to bring back three of its own free agents in center Dewayne Dedmon, wing Caleb Martin and guard Victor Oladipo. Miami has yet to make any outside additions, but did lose forward P.J. Tucker to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Where does the Heat’s roster stand after the first week of free agency? Is landing Durant a real possibility for Miami? If Durant does end up elsewhere, should the Heat give up an asset to make a smaller trade?

On a new episode of the Miami Herald’s Heat Check podcast, Anthony Chiang and David Wilson discussed those questions, their early summer league observations and more.

The busiest part of the NBA offseason is here and we have you covered with a new episode each week. As always, thanks for listening and please continue to rate, review and subscribe on Apple, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
