Podcast: What East playoff bracket means for the Miami Heat and NBA awards talk

As the Miami Heat waits until Friday to learn its first-round opponent, the rest of the Eastern Conference playoff bracket is set.

In this week’s episode of the Miami Herald’s Heat Check podcast, Anthony Chiang and David Wilson discussed why this is probably the best possible bracket for the Heat.

Hint: The soonest the Heat could face the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics or Brooklyn Nets in the playoffs is in the conference finals.

Chiang and Wilson also went through Heat’s potential first-round opponents and what the matchups would look like.

The episode ended with Chiang revealing part of his NBA awards ballot. Did he vote Bam Adebayo for Defensive Player of the Year?

As always, please continue to rate, review and subscribe with episodes continuing to come each week. Thanks for listening and enjoy the start of the playoffs.
