Miami Heat

Podcast: Lessons from eventful week for the Heat. And revisiting wise preseason predictions

It was an eventful week for the Miami Heat.

A list of Heat players entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and some have already returned. There were COVID-19 replacements signed, including familiar faces like Mario Chalmers and Chris Silva. And Jimmy Butler sprained his ankle again.

In this week’s episode of the Heat Check podcast, Anthony Chiang and David Wilson ran through the latest news surrounding the Heat.

What has been learned about the Heat during this stretch filled with COVID-19 and injury issues? What will change when the roster gets healthier? And should any of Miami’s COVID-19 replacements on 10-day contracts stick around?

The episode ends with Chiang and Wilson bragging about their very wise “bold” preseason predictions. Chiang predicted that rookie center Omer Yurtseven would make an immediate impact and Wilson predicted that guard Tyler Herro would win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award.

As always, please continue to rate, review and subscribe with episodes coming each week during the season. Thanks for listening.
