Miami Heat

Podcast: Was the Heat’s trip a success? And another Tyler Herro appreciation episode

The Miami Heat is finally home, but only for a few days.

After recently completing its five-game West Coast trip with a 2-3 record, the Heat (10-5) began a quick two-game homestand with a 113-98 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. Miami closes the homestand on Thursday night against the Washington Wizards before hitting the road again for a four-game trip.

On this week’s episode, David Wilson and Anthony Chiang, the Miami Herald’s Heat beat writer, went through the trip that just ended and if 2-3 should be considered a success. They also brought up an aspect of the Heat’s offense that should be monitored.

Chiang and Wilson again had a Tyler Herro discussion.

Before the end of the episode, the University of Miami situation came up. Wilson, who’s also the host of the Eye on the U podcast, gave his take on the firing of athletic director Blake James and what could happen with football coach Manny Diaz.

As always, please continue to rate, review and subscribe with episodes coming each week during the season. Thanks for listening.
