Podcast: What’s life like in the NBA’s Disney bubble? An inside look. And Heat talk
What’s life like in the NBA bubble?
Coaches and players have been speaking about their respective experiences on the NBA campus. But there are also media members who are being housed in the league’s Walt Disney World complex.
Associated Press NBA writer Tim Reynolds is one of the few reporters who will actually cover the restart of the season from inside the bubble. In this week’s episode of the Heat Check podcast, Reynolds joined David Wilson and Anthony Chiang, the Miami Herald’s Heat beat writer, to discuss what life has been like in there.
Reynolds, who is still in the middle of his initial mandatory seven-day quarantine before he’s allowed to leave his hotel room and roam the campus, spoke about the daily COVID-19 tests, his meals and what he expects from his time in the bubble. Also, Reynolds reveals the unusual item he brought with him that he just couldn’t be without for the next few months.
To close the episode, the trio discussed their biggest takeaways from the first week of Heat practices at Disney and the legend of Jimmy Butler.
