Miami Heat basketball is (almost) back.

After arriving at Walt Disney World on Wednesday night, the Heat is tentatively scheduled to begin training camp Friday afternoon — the Heat’s first team practice since the season was suspended on March 11 — after players and staff fulfill the in-room quarantine that is required upon arrival.

With the season set to restart on July 30 at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, what will these next three weeks of preparation look like for the Heat?

In this week’s episode of the Heat Check podcast, David Wilson and Anthony Chiang, the Miami Herald’s Heat beat writer, discuss what lies ahead for the Heat as the team’s first practice in four months looms. Also, what will Miami need to accomplish during the next few weeks before games resume?

Wilson and Chiang also go over the 37-person traveling party the Heat decided on for the NBA bubble. The episode ends with a review of Heat center Meyers Leonard’s review of his Disney hotel room, which was quite entertaining.
