A new coronavirus challenge? Ray Allen tells LeBron, Shaq to grow out their hair

Jesus Shuttlesworth needs to chill out.

A balding Ray Allen took to Instagram Tuesday and challenged several past and current NBA superstars to flaunt their natural hairlines during quarantine. LeBron James, Shaq and Carlos Boozer were among the few tagged in the two-time champion’s post.

“I’m gonna ride #myJefferson out until the ‘Rona’ kicks rocks!” Allen wrote. “For those of you that don’t know I have cut my own hair my whole life so it’s been hard not to put the clippers to it but when I look back at these pics I will remember the Rona!”

Allen’s early results were kind of horrifying:

I wasn't gonna post this but two tears in a bucket! This is where I'm at with it. Lol So I'm gonna ride #myJefferson out until the "Rona" kicks rocks! For those of you that don’t know I have cut my own hair my whole life so it’s been hard not to put the clippers to it but when I look back at these pics I will remember the Rona! Lol Fish don't fry in the kitchen, beans don't burn on the grill, took a whole lotta tryin, just to get up that hill, now we're up in the big leagues, getting our turn at bat, as long as we live, it's you and me baby, there ain't nothing wrong with that"! I nominate all my bald or going bald brothers to let it grow out, y’all know who you are! Lol. #pulluptothescenewitmyceilinmissin #shoutouttothefivehead #movinonuptotheeastside #myjeffersonon @kingjames @richardajefferson @carroyo79 @ripcity3232 @mrcbooz @shaq @starburymarbury @dwilk3000 @jermaineoneal @therealchrisspencer #napsknotsandbeebeeshots #georgejeffersonchallenge #kickitray

At least he knows his future.

Considering LeBron’s attempts to elude baldness at all costs, he likely won’t follow through. Shaq might, albeit just for the jokes. There’s no telling what anyone else will do, however, growing out their hair wouldn’t be the worst decision ever (looking at you Boozer).

Allen’s post essentially is a reminder on how the coronavirus has impacted so many aspects of daily life. Regular people, let alone multimillionaires, can’t even get a shape up. So next time you complain about not being able to get a cut, just remember quarantine 2020 and Allen’s frightening challenge.
