This NBA young star recreates iconic LeBron, D-Wade photo from Miami Heat days
Whether intentional or not, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic and teammate Kristaps Porzingis recreated the famous photo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade when they played together for the Miami Heat.
That photo, which sees LeBron soaring for a thunderous dunk and D-Wade with his arms spread wide open under the rim after dishing a pass off to King James, was taken on Dec. 6, 2010 during the first quarter of the Heat’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Associated Press photographer Morry Gash snapped the iconic photo.
Now Doncic, the 20-year-old star for the Mavs, imitated Wade’s move after lobbing an alley-oop to Porzingis in Thursday night’s 122-111 victory over the Detroit Pistons in Mexico City, Mexico.
