Scratch Hassan Whiteside from your fantasy basketball lineup because he won’t be playing for the Miami Heat in Detroit Saturday night.

The Heat’s $98 million starting center has been ruled out because of illness.

After the Heat’s loss to the Sixers in Philadelphia Friday night, Whiteside revealed he had been vomiting since the early morning Friday and wasn’t feeling well. He left the Heat bench in the fourth quarter because he thought he was going to throw up again.

Whiteside played 18 minutes and 17 seconds and produced four points (on 2 of 6 shooting), nine rebounds and three blocks before leaving the game for good midway through the third quarter.

Saturday’s game is the 19th game this Whiteside will miss. He missed 18 with a bone bruise in his left knee.

The Heat, which slipped to fifth place in the Eastern Conference and is clinging to a half game lead over Milwaukee and Indiana at 29-23, is 9-9 when Whiteside hasn’t played this season.
