Heat’s Chris Bosh back home after hospital stay for blood clots
Chris Bosh is back at home after his medical scare.
The Heat’s All-Star power forward was discharged from South Miami Hospital on Friday, according to Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. Bosh spent more than a week in the hospital after doctors discovered blood clots in his lung.
Bosh couldn’t wait to check himself out of the hospital, Spoelstra said.
"I’ve been catching up with him via text," said the Heat’s coach. "That was his first goal. He’s been very anxious to get of there. It was driving him nuts."
Bosh will miss the remainder of the season while being treated with blood thinners and rest. He was admitted to the hospital last week after experiencing pain in his chest area.
"He is recovering and starting to feel a little bit better," Spoelstra said. "He’s definitely glad to be out of the hospital."
