Inside Inter Miami: Messi’s hat trick, World Cup week 1, Tartan Army and more
The World Cup is here and so much has already happened in less than a week.
Lionel Messi scored his first ever World Cup hat trick in his sixth and final appearance in the tournament.
Team USA delivered what many agree was its best ever performance at the World Cup.
And favorites like France and Germany may be off to strong starts, but several underdogs have shown they aren’t just happy to be in the field by delivering eye-opening results.
And there’s the vibrant fans from numerous countries, who have energized the host sites of the matches so far including Scotland with its Tartan Army.
On this week’s show we discuss all of that and more with special guest David Steedman, a diehard Scottish fan from South Florida who is helping organize events for the Tartan Army, who will invade Miami and Fort Lauderdale over the weekend in preparation for their country’s match vs. Brazil on June 24 at Hard Rock Stadium.
We’ll also look at Miami’s first ever World Cup game and how it went before, during and after Uruguay’s surprising 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabia.
