Inside Inter Miami: Our World Cup preview edition, plus Hoyos remaining as coach

The 2026 World Cup is finally upon us.

The first game between Mexico and South Korea kicks off Thursday in Mexico City, and we have plenty to discuss on the latest episode of Inside Inter Miami.

Former U.S. national team midfielder Alejandro “Ale” Bedoya, who has South Florida roots, plays for the Philadelphia Union, is a World Cup analyst for Telemundo, joined the show this week.

Bedoya offers insights on this year’s biggest contenders, plus gives his favorites, sleepers and a look at Team USA’s strengths and weaknesses heading into the Cup.

We will give you an update on Messi’s injury as Argentina prepares to defend its title.

We’ll discuss the Somali World Cup referee who was denied entry to the United States and will be unable to officiate at the tournament.

We’ll recap USA’s game against Germany, Haiti’s two games against New Zealand and Peru, and tell you about the teams that have been training in South Florida, plus a behind-the-scenes tour of the FIFA World Cup operating center.

And yes, there’s some Inter Miami news even during the World Cup break…Guillermo Hoyos is staying on as the team’s coach beyond the World Cup.
