Tickets scarce, costly for Messi, Inter Miami vs. Vancouver in MLS Cup Final

So, you’re thinking of buying a ticket to see Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates in the MLS Cup Final against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday afternoon at Chase Stadium?

You want to see Messi go up against German legend Thomas Muller? Want to catch the career finales of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba before they head into retirement?

Be ready to shell out a lot of money.

As of Wednesday morning, the cheapest tickets available on TicketMaster were in the $320 range in the upper corner and endline sections, going up to more than $1,500 for premium lower bowl seats and up to $3,000 for front row seats in the 21,000-seat Fort Lauderdale stadium.

The lowest get-in price for tickets sold on Vivid Seats online marketplace was $282, with an average sold price of $328. Compared to last year, this year’s MLS Cup Final is 19.55 percent more in-demand (by average ticket price), according to Vivid Seats data.

According to ticket marketplace TickPick, Saturday’s final is the most expensive MLS Cup Final ticket on record, with an average purchase price of $565. The previous high was the 2022 MLS Cup Final between Los Angeles FC and the Philadelphia Union, which averaged $501 per ticket.

The cheapest “get-in” price for Saturday’s final was $359 on Tuesday, according to TickPick, which also reported its most expensive purchase for the match: one customer bought three tickets in Section 115, Row 7, for $2,211 each ($6,633 total).

It is hardly a surprise that Messi in his first MLS Cup Final would be a hot ticket. The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has been driving league ticket prices since his arrival in July 2023.

Inter Miami was the No. 1 in-demand team on StubHub heading into the season, appearing in all the 25 top-selling games. Ten were home games, 15 were on the road. Inter Miami’s ticket sales were up 150 times what they were at the start of the 2024 season.

Numerous clubs have set MLS match attendance records against Messi and Inter Miami including: Sporting Kansas City: 72,610 (Arrowhead Stadium on April 13, 2024), New England Revolution: 65,612 (Gillette Stadium on April 27, 2024), Chicago Fire FC: 62,358 (Solider Field on April 13, 2025).

Making the game even more attractive, Messi and his star-studded supporting cast are in the midst of a thrilling playoff run having won their past three playoff games by a combined score of 13-1.

They advanced to the Final with a 5-1 rout of New York City FC in the Eastern Conference final, and they did it without Messi scoring any of the goals. Tadeo Allende had a hat trick, teenager Mateo Silvetti scored on an assist by Messi and Telasco Segovia scored off the bench thanks to a spectacular back-heel pass from Alba.

The highly anticipated 2:30 p.m. championship game also features a matchup between Messi and German legend Thomas Muller. The two World Cup champions have faced each other 10 times with their national teams and club teams and Muller’s team has won seven of those matches.
