Inside Inter Miami: Messi, Alba shine, Bright deserves raise, Ray Hudson tribute

Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba linked up for two goals in a 3-1 Inter Miami home win against the Seattle Sounders, as the men in pink avenged their painful Leagues Cup final loss to Seattle.

This time, everyone behaved. There were no fights. No spitting. Just an impressive performance by a Miami team depleted by suspensions and injuries. Yannick Bright, the lowest paid player on the team, had a big game, strengthening his case for a raise and new contract.

On the latest episode of the Inside Inter Miami podcast, host Michelle Kaufman and guest Chris Wittyngham of CBS Sports and Apple TV MLS Season Pass, break down the Seattle game, why the victory was so important, and discuss how pushing Alba up from left back to left wing paid dividends and could be a key in the MLS playoff push.

Javier Mascherano, Alba and Ian Fray share their thoughts on the victory, and what’s to come in video interviews.

The show ends with an entertaining video tribute to legendary broadcaster Ray Hudson, whose “magisteeeeerial” career ended last week when he announced his retirement.
