Inter Miami

Inside Inter Miami: Messi’s back, Drake Callender’s back, can Inter Miami keep rolling?

Inter Miami came back from the FIFA World Cup qualifier break and so did Lionel Messi.

The club didn’t miss a beat, scoring a potentially-crucial win over the Philadelphia Union to remain unbeaten through its first nine matches across all competitions under first-year coach Javier Mascherano.

The victory catapulted Inter Miami back into first place in the Eastern Conference.

But now comes the challenge of remaining there and trying to move closer to the Concacaf Champions Cup title as the team heads into another busy stretch of matches in the coming weeks.

The latest episode of Inside Inter Miami discusses the road ahead, Messi’s return and possible status heading into Wednesday night’s late-night Champions Cup quarterfinal at LAFC.

It’s an 11:30 start for those of you on the east coast and an early AM start from those of you watching in Europe or other parts of the world so get your coffee or highly-caffeinated yerba mate ready.

We also discuss Drake Callender’s brief, but crucial return to action against Philly after Oscar Ustari exited late with muscle cramps. Who starts in goal now?

Also, we look at Robert Taylor’s return and key goal, the signing of Ecuadorean talent Allen Obando and what other possible moves could be on the horizon in the final three weeks before the transfer window closes.
