Inside Inter Miami: Preseason much smoother, pitch invader hugs Messi, and ‘Peluca’

This year’s international preseason tour for Inter Miami is going much smoother so far on and off the field for Lionel Messi and his teammates.

It’s no less eventful, however.

Two victories in penalty kicks and three wins overall under new coach Javier Mascherano.

The fans are getting treated to Messi playing extended minutes.

And one pitch invader even made it past Messi’s bodyguard and got a hug from the soccer icon during their last game in Panama.

The latest episode of Inside Inter Miami dives into these first few legs of Inter Miami’s “Tour of the Americas” and looks at what’s gone right and what still needs to be addressed before the real games begin.

How is Messi doing, and how much is he expected to play in the final two preseason games in Honduras and in Tampa vs Orlando City?

We look at the signing of Uruguayan defender Maxi “Peluca” Falcon, who is known for his big hair and big game.

And we’ll have injury and roster updates as the club prepares for its next stop this Saturday in Honduras.
