Messi, Inter Miami game in Montreal is one of most expensive MLS tickets in 15 years
Lionel Messi has been putting on a show the past few weeks and his heroics are great fun to watch; but proving costly for people who want to buy tickets to his upcoming games.
Messi’s record-setting performance in Inter Miami’s 6-2 rout of the New York Red Bulls last weekend is jacking up ticket prices for the road game Saturday against CF Montreal.
According to Vivid Seats ticket marketplace, the Inter Miami vs. Montreal game is trending as the hottest Inter Miami ticket this season with an average ticket price of $465, and the best get-in deal being $246.
When the teams met in February 2023 (before Messi) for the season opener in Miami, the average ticket price was $34, which means their upcoming matchup is 1,268 percent more expensive.
Overall, the Inter Miami-Montreal game on May 11 is trending among the hottest MLS tickets on record (since 2009) coming in at No. 7 on the list. It’s hard to blame fans for wanting to see the Argentine legend in person, as he is coming off a game in which he scored a goal and had an MLS record five assists in the second half against the Red Bulls.
