The top two women’s soccer teams in the world are coming to South Florida.

The No. 1 ranked U.S. women’s national team will face No. 2 Germany in a friendly match on Nov. 10 at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. and be nationally televised on FS1.

USA and Germany are the only countries that hold multiple Women’s World Cup titles, four for the U.S. team (1991, 1999, 2015 and 2019) and two for Germany (2003 and 2007). They last played at the 2018 SheBelieves Cup, a 1-0 U.S. victory in Columbus, Ohio.

“Playing Germany in the final matches of the year will be ideal for our World Cup preparations for all of our players and coaching staff, but it’s also fantastic for all the fans,” said U.S. coach Vlatko Andonovski. “USA-Germany is always one of the most entertaining match-ups in women’s international soccer and it’s a rivalry that has some wonderful history as well.”

The Americans are riding a 71-match home unbeaten streak (64-0-7) over the past five years. During this streak, the USA has outscored its opponents 266-29, including a 133-3 margin during its last 32 matches at home.

With the next Women’s World Cup less than a year away in Australia and New Zealand, the U.S. team is starting preparations with high-profile friendly matches. There is an Oct. 7 match against European champion England at sold-out Wembley Stadium (80,000 fans), followed by game against eighth-ranked Spain in Pamplona on Oct. 11.

The USA has qualified for its ninth consecutive Women’s World Cup, having played in every tournament since the competition’s inception in 1991 and winning a record four titles. Brazil, Japan, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Nigeria have also qualified for a ninth Women’s World Cup.

The match vs. Germany will be the first in Fort Lauderdale for the U.S. team in 22 years, since a 6-0 win over Portugal in January of 1999 at Lockhart Stadium. In that game, Michelle Akers scored her 100th career goal and kick-started the run to the 1999 FIFA women’s World Cup.

The USA played in Boca Raton in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
