Inter Miami single-game tickets on sale this week. Rodolfo Pizarro officially signed.
Soccer fans who want to buy single-game tickets for Inter Miami’s inaugural home opener against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Mar. 14 can do so this week.
A limited number of single-game tickets for Inter Miami’s first three home games will go on sale to the general public Thur. February 20 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. The three matches are:
Inter Miami vs. LA Galaxy, Mar. 14, 2:30 p.m.
Inter Miami vs. New York Red Bulls, Mar. 21, 8 p.m.
Inter Miami vs. Philadelphia Union, Apr. 5, 3 p.m.
Season-ticket holders can buy additional single-game tickets to those three matches during an exclusive pre-sale window, ahead of the general public sale, starting Tues. Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.
The home opener against the Galaxy will feature a matchup between Mexican national team stars Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, who signed with L.A. last month, and Rodolfo Pizarro, who just joined Inter Miami.
Pizarro arrived in Miami from Mexico last Thursday, attended practice Friday, scored the team’s historic first goal in a public preseason game against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, and Monday was formally introduced by the club.
“We’re very happy to have a player of Rodolfo’s quality join the club,” said Inter Miami COO and Sporting Director Paul McDonough. “He is a creative midfielder who strengthens our roster and elevates everyone’s quality on the field.”
Pizarro played for Inter Miami coach Diego Alonso in Mexico with Pachuca and Monterrey. He won numerous Liga MX awards. He has scored five goals and had five assists in 25 matches with the Mexican national team.
“I’m very happy to be here, to be part of the birth of this club,” Pizarro said. “It’s really nice to be part of this project from the start. The coach knows me well, he told me they are putting together a very good team here, and I want to keep making history here. The league has grown a lot...there are a lot of important players here. I want to help lead Inter Miami to a championship and lift a trophy with this club.”
The club will be rolling out single-game tickets in groups of games in order to better protect its inventory from third-party vendors who buy giant blocks of seats and re-sell them.
“The community excitement and enthusiasm we have experienced for our season launch in South Florida has been tremendous,” said Paul McDonough, the club’s Chief Operation Officer and Sporting Director. “In addition to launching limited single-match tickets to the general public, we also wanted to thank our season ticket holders and provide them with an exclusive pre-sale window to additional individual tickets for the first three matches. We cannot wait to create memories together and experience an electric home field atmosphere starting on March 14.”
