Inter Miami

Inter Miami releases full 2020 schedule. Check here for all home, road games, ticket info

Inter Miami fans can finally start making plans for the 2020 season.

Major League Soccer released its full 2020 schedule on Thursday. Notable home matches include the home opener March 14 at 2:30 p.m. against the Los Angeles Galaxy, and visits from reigning MLS champions Seattle Sounders on Friday, Aug. 28, Eastern Conference leaders New York City FC on Saturday, July 18, and MLS Cup finalists Toronto FC on Saturday, April 25.

For fans worried about traffic, there’s good news. Inter Miami will play the majority of its matches on weekends, with only three of its seven scheduled midweek matches taking place at home — including an encounter with the 2019 U.S. Open Cup winner Atlanta United on Thursday, July 23.

South Florida’s oppressive summer weather was also taken into consideration. Inter Miami will play evening home matches during the summer months between June and September.

The longest distance Inter Miami will travel for a regular-season match is approximately 2,688 miles to Portland to face the Timbers on Sunday, Aug. 16.

Inter Miami will open its inaugural season on March 1, 2020 with a high-profile road game against Los Angeles FC, the team that won the 2019 Supporters’ Shield for the best regular-season record. The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. at Banc of California Stadium.

The game will be televised on ESPN. It will be a homecoming for Inter Miami midfielder Lee Nguyen, who played for LAFC the past two seasons.

Inter Miami games will be broadcast nationally 17 times on ABC, ESPN, FOX, FS1, UniMás and Univision.

Home games in 2020 and 2021 will be played at the team’s new 19,000-seat stadium and soccer complex in Fort Lauderdale.

Each team will play 34 games, including 17 at home and 17 away. Inter Miami will be in the Eastern Conference and will play home and away against its 12 conference rivals: Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, D.C., Cincinnati, Montreal, New England, NYCFC, NY Red Bulls, Orlando, Philadelphia and Toronto.

They will play 10 of the 13 Western teams once.

Season tickets are available at intermiami.com/tickets and limited single-game tickets will be on sale at a later date.
