Miami Marlins to honor Ichiro for 3,000th hit
Ichiro Suzuki became the 30th player in major league history to reach the 3,000 hit mark earlier this month.
In September, the Marlins plan on officially celebrating the feat.
On Sept. 25, the Marlins will play host to Atlanta at 1:10 p.m. and honor Ichiro for his accomplishment.
The team is offering a special ticket promotion which includes a full-sized commemorative bat.
According to the Marlins, only 3,000 of the bats are being produced. To get tickets and the special bat, follow this link.
The Ichiro game is the final Sunday home game in the Marlins' regular season. Miami's season finale is Oct. 2 at Washington.
The Miami Dolphins are scheduled to play their home opener on that day, playing host to the Cleveland Browns at Hard Rock Stadium.
