Despite remaining one of the top power hitters in the game, David Ortiz is calling it a career as he plans to retire following this season.

On Sunday, ‘Big Papi’ said goodbye to another big-league ballpark as the Red Sox visited Angel Stadium for what’s expected to be the final time as a player.

ESPN.com is tracking Big Papi’s farewell tour with highlights from each ballpark he’s visiting this season with his final regular-season game at Fenway Park scheduled for Oct. 2 – not long after the Red Sox visit Yankee Stadium for the final time this season.

Although many teams are feting Ortiz with gifts during his farewell tour, Miami never got the chance to give him a stuffed Marlin or a rocking chair adorned with palm trees and flamingos or whatever.

Because of the way the schedule worked out, the Red Sox will not visit the Marlins this regular season.

Of course, the two could meet in the World Series.
