Titletown South Florida: Football rivals wrap up spring, plus perfection at Douglas
Miami Northwestern and Miami Central’s longstanding football rivalry is one of the best in the country.
While the two South Florida powerhouses won’t square off until this fall, they were on the same field this past Saturday for their spring intrasquad scrimmages at Traz Powell Stadium.
How did the Bulls look under first-year coach and alum Michaelee Harris? And how much have the Rockets reloaded for a run at five state titles in a row?
On this week’s Titletown South Florida episode, Miami Herald Deputy Sports Editor Andre Fernandez speaks with Miami Central coach Jube Joseph and Harris about their games and how this month prepared them for the tough season ahead.
Also on this week’s show:
-Fernandez and Sportswriter David Wilson chat about the spring season and salute our two South Florida state baseball champions in American Heritage and Stoneman Douglas.
-We also salute some of the top state champions from this past high school year and talk about how they can continue their dominance in the 2023-24 season.
