Norland’s Brown, Central’s Thompson commit to FIU

FIU nabbed oral commitments from two local football prospects on Thursday.

Miami Norland cornerback Bryon Brown committed in the afternoon, and then Miami Central linebacker Donavan Thompson, a three-star recruit according to Rivals, committed Thursday night.

Thompson, a three-time state champion as a starter on the Rockets defense, turned down offers from Arkansas, Oregon State, USF and Cincinnati.

The Panthers now list 11 commitments in their 2016 recruiting class.
