Hialeah Gardens ends season on high note

Host Hialeah Gardens closed out the season with a 33-12 homecoming victory over Mourning on Thursday evening.

Prior to the game, Hialeah Gardens (3-7, 0-5) and Mourning (1-9, 1-7) had both been eliminated from playoff contention.

The lone touchdown for the Sharks came on a would-be interception that was juggled by a Gladiators defensive back before being grabbed and taken for a 59-yard touchdown reception by Dontae Charles.


Yhostian Diaz: Rushed for 106 yards on six carries. He also had 35 receiving yards and a touchdown on two receptions.

Danny Pierre-Louis: The Sharks freshman quarterback passed for 139 yards, a touchdown and had one carry for an 8-yard touchdown.
