Reagan romps in 47-0 win over Mourning
Reagan (6-3, 6-2) scored early and often, taking a 41-0 lead to the locker room at halftime, prompting a running clock in the second half in a 47-0, District 16-7A win Friday afternoon at North Miami Stadium.
Coach John Lopez emptied his bench as 10 Bison running backs touched the ball while the defense did its job and then some as Mourning (1-8, 1-7) had no first downs and finished with minus-57 yards of offense.
TOP TWO
Luis Yepez: Led the way for Reagan running backs with 47 yards on six carries and two touchdowns.
Jorge Hernandez: Reagan wide receiver only caught two passes but one was a spectacular diving catch for a 29-yard touchdown.
THEY SAID IT
“A good job by all the kids today, especially the defense which didn’t give up a first down and held the opponent to negative yardage.”
— Lopez
